Weighted Shoulders

AP (Right)

  1. Have patient remove any metal that might show on film ( i.e. Bra Strap etc. )
  2. Patient needs to stand to the far Left of the platform with the Right shoulder in the center of buckey.
  3. Use string to measure distance.
  4. Line up CR with shoulder.
  5. Collimate
  6. Take Picture.
  7. Tip* If patient is small and does not have wide shoulders you can take one image of both. However if patient has broad shoulders you need to take individual shots of each shoulder.
  8. For weighted view, have patient hold the 8lb weight in hand and let hang down.

 

AP (Left)

  1. For the left shoulder have the patient stand to the far Right of the platform with Left shoulder in the center of buckey.
  2. Then repeat steps above.
