Keeping Athletes in the Game.
From pee-wee and recreational athletes to high school, collegiate, elite, and professional competitors, Alpha Spine Center understands that athletes don’t simply want to feel better—they want to keep training, competing, and performing.
Our Doctors take a comprehensive approach to Sports Chiropractic care by evaluating the spine, extremities, biomechanics, and the specific physical demands of each athlete’s sport.
When appropriate, our goal is to address the underlying mechanical problem while helping the athlete remain active and in competition, rather than automatically removing them from the activity they love.
When an injury requires additional medical evaluation, imaging, rehabilitation, or specialty care, we help direct and co-manage the athlete with the appropriate healthcare provider.
You don’t have to be a professional athlete to be treated like one.
At Alpha Spine Center, we care for athletes across the entire spectrum—from youth sports and recreational athletes to high school, collegiate, elite, and professional competitors.
Athletic injuries and performance problems often involve more than the area that hurts. Our Doctors evaluate the spine, extremities, joint mechanics, movement patterns, and the demands of your specific sport. When Chiropractic care is appropriate, we develop an individualized plan designed to restore function, support recovery, and help you safely return to training and competition.
Our approach combines NUCCA Upper Cervical Chiropractic with Sports Chiropractic, extremity evaluation and care, Class 4 Cold Laser Therapy, and Exercise Therapy when appropriate.
We evaluate the spine, extremities, movement and biomechanics to understand what may be affecting your performance.
Your sport matters. We consider the movements, stresses and demands unique to your training and competition.
Our goal is to help you recover, maintain function and continue training and competing whenever safely appropriate.
When additional imaging, rehabilitation or specialty care is needed, we help direct and coordinate your care.
At Alpha Spine Center, we understand that every athlete has a different goal. For a young athlete, it may be getting back on the field for the next game. For a recreational athlete, it may be continuing to run, ride, golf or play tennis. For an elite or professional athlete, staying healthy and available to compete may be their livelihood.
Over the years, our Doctors have cared for athletes across an extraordinary range of sports and levels of competition—from pee-wee and recreational athletes to high school, collegiate, elite and professional competitors.
Our experience includes athletes competing in baseball, football, soccer, tennis, golf, track and field, marathon and ultramarathon running, swimming, gymnastics, ballet, skiing, mountain biking, road cycling, adventure racing, bodybuilding, powerlifting and competitive target shooting.
We have also had the opportunity to care for athletes competing at the professional, PGA, NFL, Major League Baseball and NCAA levels, as well as athletes from local high-school programs.
Regardless of the athlete’s age, sport or competitive level, our philosophy remains the same:
Understand the Athlete. Understand the Sport. Keep Them in the Game.
Pain alone doesn’t always tell us why an athlete is having difficulty training or competing. At Alpha Spine Center, we use objective examination procedures and technology to help us better understand how the spine, nervous system, muscles, joints, and movement patterns may be affecting the athlete.
When clinically indicated, testing may include digital X-rays, thermography, surface electromyography (sEMG), and DynaROM™ assessment. These findings are combined with your history, physical examination, sport, training demands, and performance goals.
Our purpose isn’t simply to identify where you hurt. We want to understand how your body is functioning and what may be limiting your ability to train, compete, and perform.
This information helps our Doctors develop an individualized plan and objectively monitor progress—with one overriding goal:
Keep you in the game.
When clinically indicated, digital X-rays help us evaluate spinal structure and identify findings that may influence an athlete's care.
Provides objective information about patterns of nervous system function that may assist in our evaluation.
Measures patterns of muscle activity to provide objective information about muscular function.
Provides objective measurements of movement and muscle activity to help document function and monitor change.
Whether you’re a youth, recreational, high school, collegiate, elite, or professional athlete, we’re ready to help you understand what’s limiting you and determine the right path forward.
